When I was a child in care, my entire history fit on three pages.
Three pages. That was all there was — no one had thought to write the rest down. No memories of a favourite toy. No record of what made me laugh, what scared me, what I loved. No story. Just dates and decisions made by other people.
I know what it means to reach back and find almost nothing there. To want to understand yourself and have nowhere to look. That's why I do this work — not as a job, but as something I owe. To the child I was, and to everyone else who is still looking for themselves somewhere.
I'm a writer. I've published over fifty pieces — essays, memoir, flash fiction. You can read my work here. I bring that same care and craft to every story I write for someone else.
